@despos 400px CSS width could also be a full screen browser on a 1600px device screen with a 4x zoom for visual impairment. You can’t have control on everything. Only an illusion of such control.On twitter.com

@despos Standards allow us give hints to the browser, which knows better than us (on the server side) what the user needs/wants. It is definitely wrong to say that “the picture element drastically slows down the page“, if used as intended.Permalink On twitter.com
