@swyx For classes and other attributes, I use markdown-it-attrs, so it can solve both 4 and 5. But I prefer not setting headings ids myself anyway, I let the processor do it. That’s markdown-it-anchor for me. For Metadata, they’re fine outside Markdown, even if in the same file.
